Pricing & Packages

How much does marquee hire cost in Brisbane?

Clearspan marquee hire starts from $550 for a 6m × 3m. A 6m × 9m (seats 45–60) is from $1,050. An 8m × 15m (seats 100–130) is from $1,900. Prices are for the marquee structure only — delivery, setup, and pack-down are quoted separately per postcode. All prices exclude GST.

What size marquee do I need?

A rough guide: allow 1m² per seated guest and 0.5m² per cocktail guest. 50 seated guests = 6m × 9m (54m²). 80 seated = 8m × 9m (72m²). 100 seated = 8m × 12m (96m²). 150+ = 8m × 18m or larger. Use our Size Finder tool for a personalised recommendation with live pricing.

What is included in a marquee hire package?

Equipment pricing covers the marquee frame, roof, and walls. Delivery, setup and pack-down are quoted separately. Flooring, lighting, furniture, generators, dance floors, and cold rooms are optional add-ons. Our 3-tier Pack system bundles the most popular combinations.

Can you hire just lighting, or just furniture?

Yes. Festoon lighting, LED uplights, furniture, and flooring are all available without a marquee. Browse our catalogue or contact Joe for a standalone quote.

Is delivery and setup included in the price?

No — equipment pricing is hire-only. Delivery, professional setup by our crew, and pack-down are quoted separately per job. We're based in Bray Park — your delivery is quoted per postcode (get your exact price in the cart or request a quote). Setup and pack-down are always done by our own crew, never DIY.

Booking & Payment

How do I book?

Contact Joe via the quote form, phone (0435 642 592), or use our online cart builder to specify exactly what you need. A 40% deposit confirms the booking. The balance is due 30 days before your event.

What is your deposit and payment policy?

40% deposit to secure your date. Balance due 30 days before your event. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and PayID. For corporate clients, purchase orders and payment terms are available.

Do you do same-day or next-day bookings?

Sometimes — call Joe on 0435 642 592 to check availability. We do take last-minute bookings when we have the equipment and crew available, but advance booking is strongly recommended for weekends and peak season.

How far in advance should I book?

For weekend events between October and March (peak season), book 3–6 months out. Mid-week and off-peak events can often be arranged with 2–4 weeks notice. Your date is not held without a deposit.

Section 3

Setup & Logistics

What happens if it rains?

Nothing. Our clearspan marquees have a full PVC roof and removable walls rated to 80km/h winds. Rain does not affect setup or the event. If you're worried about Queensland summer storms — this is why you hire a proper clearspan marquee and not a pop-up gazebo.

Can you set up in my backyard?

Yes. Our 6m-wide range fits through a standard 900mm side gate and works on most Brisbane suburban blocks. The 8m-wide range typically needs 1.8m+ gate clearance or front-yard access. Send us a photo of your access and we'll confirm.

What surfaces can you set up on?

Grass, concrete, pavers, compacted gravel, and most hard surfaces. On non-grass surfaces we use ballast blocks instead of pegs — no drilling required. Extreme slopes or unstable ground may require a site inspection.

How long does setup take?

A standard 6m × 9m marquee takes 2–3 hours to set up. Larger marquees or complex configurations take 4–6 hours. We typically setup the day before your event.

How far do you travel?

We service all of South East Queensland — Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, Toowoomba, Scenic Rim, and beyond. Delivery is quoted separately per postcode from our Bray Park depot — get your exact price in the cart or request a quote.

Do you need council approval for a marquee?

For private property events (backyard, farm, private venue) — usually no. For public parks, council land, or events with significant structures, you may need a council permit. Requirements vary by council. Contact your local council or us and we can guide you.

How do I know if a marquee will fit in my space?

Use our Will-It-Fit tool — enter your dimensions and it calculates clearance requirements. Or send us a rough sketch or Google Maps screenshot of your space. For tight or unusual sites, we may request photos of the access and setup area.

What is your cancellation policy?

All payments — including your deposit and balance — are non-refundable if you cancel, for any reason and regardless of when notice is given. We don't offer credits for change-of-mind cancellations. A credit note or rescheduled date may be offered at our sole discretion only where a Force Majeure event (such as severe weather) prevents your event going ahead. The only circumstance in which we issue a refund is if In-Tents Events cancels your booking. See our full Hire Agreement for details.

Are you insured?

Yes. $20M public liability (Public & Products Liability) insurance. Certificate of currency available on request for your venue, council, or event organiser requirements.

Do you provide tax invoices?

Yes. In-Tents Events is GST-registered (ABN 51 539 787 834, registered since March 2026). Full tax invoices issued for all jobs. Purchase orders supported for corporate clients.
