From our Bray Park (North Brisbane) HQ, the Sunshine Coast is 90–140km depending on the suburb — Beerwah and Caloundra at the southern end sit around 90km, Noosa at the northern end is 140km. We're upfront that this is a regional delivery run, and we quote it separately as a line item before you commit. Because we head north to the Sunshine Coast regularly, delivery stays competitive — we're not sending a one-off truck, we're running an established corridor. <strong>The Sunshine Coast hinterland</strong> — Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Flaxton, Kenilworth — is where the marquee wedding scene is most active. These mountain properties and ridgetop farms have the views, the atmosphere, and the space. What they don't have is a roof. A 6m × 9m clearspan for an intimate 40-guest ceremony or an 8m × 15m for a full 100-guest reception slots in around the homestead without centre poles blocking the mountain view. Our clearspan engineering handles the hinterland gusts off the Blackall Range — rated to 80km/h winds, Australian Standards certified. <strong>Coastal Sunshine Coast</strong> — Noosa, Noosaville, Peregian Beach, Coolum, Mooloolaba and Caloundra — generate a different profile: foreshore weddings, backyard celebrations on the bigger Noosa blocks, resort-adjacent marquee extensions. Noosa Heads and Noosaville have council permits for Noosa River foreshore events (Noosa Council jurisdiction); we provide engineering documentation and the spec sheet the council needs. Caloundra and Kings Beach have Sunshine Coast Council jurisdiction for foreshore events — similar process. <strong>Southern Sunshine Coast</strong> — Glass House Mountains, Beerwah, Landsborough — is the transitional zone between Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast proper. Glass House Mountains properties often combine the hinterland feel with better access than the upper range. These suburbs sit at the lower end of our regional delivery bracket. For properties without mains power — which is most of the upper hinterland — we own generators from 2kVA through 60kVA in-house. Can you set up at Noosa foreshore or beach? +
Yes, subject to Noosa Council permit. We supply the engineering documentation and marquee specifications the council requires. You or your wedding planner secures the event permit — we handle the install, any ballast-weight requirements for sandy ground, and packdown.
How far in advance should a Sunshine Coast wedding book? +
For peak season (September–March), especially hinterland Saturdays in Maleny and Montville, 6–9 months ahead is sensible. These dates fill fast with destination weddings. Shoulder months (April–August) we can often confirm inside 4 weeks.
Do Sunshine Coast hinterland properties have mains power? +
Often not. We own generators from 2kVA through 60kVA in-house — a 6–10kVA unit runs full festoon lighting, caterer cool-room, PA and coffee cart simultaneously. Generator hire is quoted as a separate line item alongside your marquee package.
Can the marquee handle Blackall Range weather? +
Yes. Our clearspan frames are engineered to Australian Standards and rated to 80km/h winds. The hinterland can get strong range-edge gusts in spring — our engineering handles it. For severe weather warnings we have an on-call crew that can break down the marquee in under two hours.
